The museum is built on an area of 28 acres , the interiors exceed more than 8,000 square meters and characteristic is the metal dome, the green and a cultural park whose construction right next to it has just begun.

The budget of construction was 21.5 million EUR. but eventually overcame 25 millions. Divided into four theme sections of which three are permanent and the fourth is periodic as it hosts various exhibitions during the year. The main sections start from the Mycenaean era and reach the Roman. The other two are the section of public life and the section of necropolis .
