Patras Lighthouse

Patras trademark, a jewel built of stone lighthouse , when first built was used as a mark . But when the breakwater was constructed that role was abolished. The lighthouse ( with only 4-5 square meters area) and its café gathered many people, it was the daily walk of the citizens of Patras, while the boats were offered for a boat ride in the clear waters of the bay . In the area around the lighthouse concerts were held and the most famous singers of the era had sang there.

In Ag . Andreas area in 1999 was built a modern lighthouse which is a replica of the old one which was demolished in 1972. It is located right opposite the Church of St . Andrew. In this area there is also a cafeteria and around it there is also a space used for events and concerts .

Access: 100 meters straight from our hotel, at Othonos Amalias avenue you turn left and go straight for about 2km where you continue at Akti Dymaion street keeping straight ahead for another 2 km until you meet the trademark of the Achaean capital.
